Hello! I am Mom to four wonderfully energetic boys, ages ranging from 7 to 18. They are truly the joy of my life. I have a loving husband who has been so supportive of my art in every way!  I'm originally from Singapore, but I've been living in America since 1980. My home is in Southern California, and I really enjoy the warm weather and great foods here.

I began pressing flowers and designing pictures as a hobby in 1990. I made and sold several pictures, and did some custom orders for wedding invitations. They were mostly given to family and dear friends. I also made greeting cards, bookmarks, and some small crafts decorated with pressed flowers. Then, I took a long break from pressing flowers when it became too hard for me to find the time to sit down quietly to create. However, as I saw all the beautiful and creative work done by other pressed flower artists, especially the beautiful Oshibana works, I felt so inspired to begin creating again.

I especially love to work with small and miniature flowers, creating dainty and delicate designs. The flowers are so beautiful; they really do most of the work for me! I hope to learn many new techniques and develop new ideas for my work. Participating in pressed flower art competitions have really helped me push myself to reach higher goals with my art. So, that's something I try to do whenever I have the time or opportunity.

I have a web designing business, Mdezign since 1997. Even though I'm working with computers everyday, I've still kept my dream of designing and enjoying my hobby with pressed flowers. I have a website that includes a portfolio and gallery for my pressed flower work at www.pressedflowerdesigns.com. I also enjoy computer graphics art and sometimes incorporate that with my pressed flower art.

Since 2001, I became involved as a Founding member of the Guild, and I developed, designed and coordinated all aspects of the website for the World Wide Pressed Flower Guild.

It was a challenge to both create and develop this website from the ground up, from the very first pages to the huge site we have today. I am very proud, and I continued to develop and build the Guild website to this day. My many thanks to our members and committee who have contributed so generously to the vast amount of materials that are now an integral part of our website archive.

Pressing flowers, and creating pressed flower art is a joyful experience. This form of artistic expression is very special to me because it reminds me of how God is so awesome, and that each little petal and each little leaf is perfectly designed by Him first.
