I have lived all but 2 years of my life in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania ( U.S.A.) .I come from a large, close family, and still have friends from kindergarten.  I have worked a s a physical therapist assistant for 9 years, and prior to that I worked with children in various fields.

I began crafting as a child, but it wasn’t until a few years ago that it became a passion.  Through the years I have done ceramics, florals, tole panting, scrapbooking, rubberstamping, painted sweatshirts, a tiny bit of calligraphy and a sad attempt at acrylic painting on canvas.  A few years back, I bought a used flower press for $2.00. It sat for quite some time collecting dust.  Looking to cerate something different, I think about two years ago, I dusted off the press and went out to my garden. I didn’t have a clue what I was doing. I cut and pressed what ever I could find. I’ve been hooked since. The more I learn the more I love this art form.

When time and energy allow, I also enjoy a variety of other hobbies that includes reading, exercising, bowling, football, rollerblading and traveling. God and health willing I try to walk everyday. Not only does it provide physical benefits, it is also a way to clear my mind, (and a chance to pick things to press).

My life is so different since I started pressing flowers. I am so much more aware of what is around me; therefore I appreciate nature and life in a new way.
